Alkalinity and pH Levels Balancing

Both alkalinity and PH levels must be balanced for the chlorine/bromine to function correctly. High levels of alkalinity may cause cloudy water. Low concentrations can cause pH bounce where readings fluctuate from one value to another leading to scale formation, corrosion of surfaces, eye irritation and discolouration of the hot tub water.

Filters

Filters, with correct maintenance, should last up to eighteen months after which they should be replaced. Please note that a jet spray should never be used to rinse filters.

Once a week

Rinse thoroughly with tap water under pressure and then reinstall into the hot tub.

Every 6 weeks

Rinse thoroughly and then immerse in a bucket of water for twelve hours with the appropriate level of cartridge filter cleaning product. (See product packaging for details). Rinse and leave until bone dry. Before reinstalling, gently tap the filter from each end in order to release any fine residue, which otherwise may reduce the efficiency and life span of the filter.
